Dr. Bennett Chotiner, Memorial Eye Institutes founder, And Medical Director is central Pennsylvania’s most experienced LASIK surgeon. He has performed thousands of surgical and laser vision correction procedures. All of our surgeons are board certified or eligible for certification by the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Dr. Chotiner is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He has lectured to other doctors at major local, national, and international ophthalmic meetings. Dr. Chotiner was a leading investigator in the study that helped LASIK get FDA approval in the United States.

The surgery center has been awarded the certificate of accreditation by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, Inc. (AAAHC). This certification means that Memorial Eye Institute has met nationally recognized standards for quality care. In order to achieve this accreditation, Memorial Eye Institute undergoes extensive on-site surveys of its facilities and services. The survey teams, composed of physicians, nurses and administrators, evaluate all aspects of patient care.
